Bora Lee is a South Korean contemporary artist whose practice explores identity, perception, and the relationship between the self and the image we present to the world. Working primarily through painting, she incorporates cosmetics as both a visual language and a symbolic medium, examining themes of beauty, concealment, vulnerability, and self-expression.

Her ongoing series Invisible Gaze reflects on the tension between authentic identity and the personas shaped by contemporary society. Through carefully constructed compositions and symbolic imagery, Lee invites viewers to question how appearance influences perception and how personal identity is continually negotiated between the inner self and the outside world.

Her work has been recognized for its thoughtful exploration of contemporary life, revealing the emotional complexity that exists beneath the surface of everyday appearances.
